Shift: Monday through Friday
FLSA Status: Exempt
Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
• Develop, execute, and monitor budgets, long-range operating plans, phasing plans, and other resource planning activities.
• Download reports from the financial tools, integrate, and analyze for Management decision making purposes.
• Perform cost analysis and performance assessment on multiple project elements to include the integration of the entire Engineering work portfolio.
• Determine and distribute monthly and rolling quarterly allocations for all SLS requirements by element on the Marshall’s Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract and Marshall’s Engineering Services, Science and Skill Augmentation (ESSSA) contract.
• Coordinate closely with the Center workforce community to perform ad-hoc 533M and supplemental analysis.
• Serve as the ESSSA/ESSCA PR initiator for the Center and a back-up PR initiator for other Engineering Directorate requirements as needed.
• Serve as back-up to the primary ESSSA/ESSCA cost analyst. Requires in-depth knowledge of the SAP CCR module and the NASA cost process.
• Retrieve and integrate all budget data from the ED10 analysts to create monthly ED Smartbook as well as providing an initial review to ensure all data has been submitted completely and accurately.
• Coordinate all ED’s procurements and integrate in the Smartbook
• Maintain ED10 calendar and facilitates monthly meeting to ensure timely Smartbook submissions.
• Support ED10 management in the creation and maintenance of numerous complex spreadsheets and reports utilizing advanced excel capabilities.

• Needs to be able to communicate deadlines to peers effectively
• Overall understanding of SLS/XP business policies, practices and tools is preferred

Required Skills:
• Proficient in MS Office Applications
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Must be able to work independently
Additionally, the following experience is highly recommended:
• SAP, Business Objects (BOBJ) or other accounting systems experience
• Knowledge of SharePoint
• SAP CCR module and the NASA cost process
• An understanding of government financial processes and experience with an integrated financial management system are preferred

Experience: Minimum 6 – 8 years of experience

Education: Requires Bachelor’s Degree

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in an office setting that is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

Physical Demands: Specific abilities required for this job include: the ability to speak clearly, the ability to hear in person and via telephone, the ability to sit for extended periods, periodic lifting and moving of items of 10 pounds, standing, walking, and close vision.
